22 days to go! Rider Shafique, Hypercube, Lars Bang Larsen RA Sessions, RBMA Radio and more…

As we move closer to the final days of summer, this year’s New Forms Festival  continues to heat up with a number of additions to this year’s bill. New Forms is thrilled to be adding one of the most sought after MC’s in the UK, Rider Shafique. He will be accompanying Kahn for this special performance.

As well, New Forms will be welcoming The World Premiere of 1024 Architecture’s Hypercube. The Paris based artistic team has been making waves all over the world with their thrilling audio-visual instalments, micro-architecture and invention by focusing on the interaction between body, space, sound, performance and hi and low-tech visuals. Hypercube – a 10 meter cube made from scaffolding and construction materials – will be open to entry so people can explore the construction that is part kinetic sculpture and part architectural invention. To enter the cube is to imagine our urban future differently. Unlike, or perhaps exactly like, our emerging landscape; the structure is temporary. The Hypercube performances will take place on Friday, September 13th at 10 pm, 10:15, 10:30, and 10:45.

Finally, independent curator and writer, Lars Bang Larsen will be presenting his work on psychedelia and amplification in an artist talk at the Western Front.  Larsen is known for his seminal writing on the new generation of artists that emerged from Scandinavia in the 1990’s and his work has been shown all over Europe, at the German contemporary art festival, Documenta.

New Forms would like to thank this year’s partners for their ongoing support. For 2013, Resident Advisor will be running their well-known RA Sessions, And New Forms will be teaming up with the Red Bull Music Academy to create a special podcast directly from the festival with a number of the main NFF Artists. Stay tuned for more details.

Tickets and Festival passes now available online and at Red Cat Records.
